The Virtuosant team has over 200 year of combined business and management experience. The team brings over 100 years of technology based expertise, 80 years of healthcare and healthcare data management knowledge, and 20 years of portal technology to bear against the major operational challenges now facing the small to medium size healthcare provider organizations.
Mr. Lee brings more than 20 years of leadership, consulting and software development experience. Since he established Virtuosant in January 2007, he has been focused on building a strong foundation consisting of products and a top notch team. Previously, Mr. Lee architected and directed the development of IBM WebSphere portal solutions for MetLife, Inc.; US Department of the Interior; Borders; and Winn-Dixie Company. Mr. Lee has worked for both Lotus and IBM corporations, and earned a BBA/MIS degree with honors from Texas Tech University.
Mr. Crocker is a tenured Healthcare Executive with twenty plus years in progressive healthcare consulting across all functional areas, including regional and national management, MCO’s, HMO’s and IPA sales, business development, physician practices and specialty disease-specific industries. Mr. Crocker has extensive knowledge in business plan development, customer acquisition, physician relations, provider operations, practice acquisition, contract negotiations, and profit optimization. He brings exceptional skills to Virtuosant in building channel relationships, healthcare e-commerce, creative business collaboration, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning. Additionally, he has an excellent track record of organizational leadership and the ability to help clients build value, manage risk, and improve performance. Mr. Crocker earned his BBA from Texas Wesleyan College and his MS from North Texas State University.
Dr. Belaval is a Board Certified Emergency Physician with a decade of experience leading and improving Emergency Departments as a Medical Director and Healthcare consultant. In addition to his work as a practicing Emergency physician, Dr. Belaval is an accomplished Hospital Change Management expert who concentrates on Hospital Patient Flow Process Redesign and Emergency Department operational efficiency.
As President of an innovative Clinical Consulting Group, Dr. Belaval has helped Hospitals design and implement major change initiatives and develop some of the most efficient Emergency Departments in the nation. Dr. Belaval completed his medical studies at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, his Internal Medicine Internship at Yale New Haven Hospital, and his Emergency Medicine Residency at Boston Medical Center.
Ms. Anderson-Miles brings over 20 years of healthcare strategic marketing experience to her role as Virtuosant's Chief Marketing Officer. Through her background in sales, product management, and marketing with several healthcare information technology companies, she excels in understanding how to realize market potential. Using extensive research into target markets and audiences, she crafts well-founded branding, messaging, sales approaches, and marketing initiatives that resonate with the marketplace. She has rebranded four healthcare companies, has led the successful integration of 3 product management teams post-merger, and has consistently supported sales efforts resulting in exponential growth. Ms. Anderson-Miles earned her BA and MA from the University of California, Berkeley.
As Virtuosant’s Chief Information Officer, Jim Barbaglia has a vast experience providing innovative information technology and strategic solutions that focus on clinical, operational and financial performance improvement within the healthcare industry. With over 25 years of experience, he has held leadership positions with healthcare provider, consulting and vendor organizations including Valley Baptist Health System; CSC; Cap Gemini Ernst & Young; and Siemens Medical Solutions. At Valley Baptist Health System, Jim served as the Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer, where he was responsible for all aspects of technology enterprise-wide; establishing an integrated vision to enhance services while decreasing costs. Jim is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and holds Bachelor of Science in Political Science & Public Administration from Central Michigan University.
Ms. Hightower comes to Virtuosant with 15+ years combined experience in public and corporate accounting and finance. Ms. Hightower’s career began with a strong foundation in audit and tax and then moved to corporate finance positions, holding Controller and Director of Finance titles. Her experience has primarily been with entrepreneurial start-ups in the private services and technology industries. Previous to Virtuosant, Ms. Hightower was a small business consultant providing high-level finance support to various clients in the Atlanta area. Ms. Hightower earned her BBA and MBA from Kennesaw State University.
BJ Grau is a seasoned technologist with over 13 years of experience in architecting, selling, and delivering enterprise Portal software systems. Prior to Virtuosant BJ was a Solution Director covering the Southeast region for Prolifics (a large premier IBM partner) and has also worked for employers and customers such as Siemens, Royal Caribbean, Lockheed Martin, Office Depot, Harcourt Education, Interval International, JPMorgan, Florida DOT, Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, and TRX. BJ has two BS degrees in Computer Science and Liberal Studies from the University of Central Florida and holds numerous IBM and Sun technology and sales certifications..
